Since its lunch time.....

I am going to post a few of my culinary masterpeices for you all. I love to cook and create dishes out of things that I love. I do use receipes at times, but most of the times I just kinda go with my gut and my taste buds. I also try my best to buy organic or local farm grown fruits and vegetables as much as possible. It is not always possible to get the everything that way at a low cost, so you have to pick and choose what is better for you and your family.

Above is my favorite vegetable to cook because it is healthy, it tastes great, and its super easy and fast to cook. ASPARAGUS! Woot Woot. This variation consists of blanched asparagus, Italian dressing, salt, pepper, herbs, and parmesan cheese. It was placed in the oven at 350 degrees and coked for about 10 mins. See? Easy!

Next we have stuffed mini sweet peppers. Red onion, peppers, spinach, pesto vegetable broth, Italian bread crumbs, and Parmesan cheese. Because they are mini peppers, it did take a few failed attempts in getting the stuffing into each pepper. But after a few trials a knife was the best choice. I chose the fattest little peppers for this dish. Before stuffing the peppers they were washed, cored, and seasoned. Always season everything! You can't go wrong!

Those were my latest adventures in the kitchen. I will make sure to have the camera ready when I head back for my knife and my fork.

Ok Fashionista's, your help is needed. I have had these Carlos Santana shoes for months and can't come up with the outfit to wear them. So, I turn to you. Give me your suggestions and I will do my best to re-create the outfit that best suits the shoes and my style! Bring it on....

Norma Kamali for Walmart Review

Ok, so my blog has been sitting neglected for about 4 years. I know, I should be flogged or something. But here I am with a new blog on Norma Kamali for Walmart. I ordered two dresses in a size 2x. While I was a little scared of the fit because of my recent weight loss, I took a deep breath and placed my order. The first dress is a grey and black striped dress that has waist ties attached to it to accenuate the waist or cover problem area's. The fabric was thicker than I expected and the fit was very nice and flattering for my shape. The second dress is a fabulous print that can be word off the shoulder of draped in the front or the back. I tried it on as is and then added a belt that was not the best choice for the dress but it gives a slight idea of what it looks like with a belt. All in all, I am very pleased with the line and will be ordering more peices to add to my wardrobe.

So, as you can see in the picture Thanksgiving was wonderful. I ate orange glazed cornish hen and all sort of non-traditional Thanksgiving food, which was a break from the turkey and dressing and sweet potatoe pies. My girl Dee can cook. Praise God for her!

Once again I am being attacked by sickness, I know now God has the best sense of humor in the world. Of course this never happens until I have to perform somewhere. It never fails. Snot nosed and stopped up I will be performing. I have been working on getting some pieces in my head and it has been the hardest thing for me to do. My mind is clogged with so many things that my concentration was so off, and now I am cramming. Anyone that knows me know that I suck at studying, big time. I just pray that God just allows me to keep it moving tonight. I am okay......thanks for asking.

Well, I guess I'll get back to work for a little while. I am ready for go!
