Gentle Conversation

I had a dream that last night we had a gentle conversation
A mind consummation
As thought tremors and word haikus
Formed 360 circles around tongues
Maybe you listened enough to know by now
Hoping that you heard the right dreams some how
Veins appeared in foreheads
As you tried to decipher the encryption on my thigh
And the hieroglyphs on my back
So I stood in mummified positions
Pointed to clues undetected
And you sharpened your pencil one too many times
Until the lead was clear
And you never understood what I was trying to say
You translated my words into unknown tongues
I pierced them
Silver ball, screwed tightly
Placed center stage
As clicking against teeth
Lullabies baby
But annoys the heck out of me
But it is pretty
Pretty
Pretty
Crazy that tops of lungs is heard
And I prayed that you heard the right dreams some how
Or that you were ready to become a man by now
Or that you could see God in a cloud
Or in my heart
Beyond selfish antics
And hopeless romantics
And be content with sunny days
Where I am the source of your
Your
Smiles
But you
Concentrating on decoding my pain
Saw nothing past the rain
Where I reign
Amidst silly girl giggles
And toes painted a purple haze
And black and white makes grays
That are dull to me
So baby amaze me
Send me into your maze
Where I peak over neatly trimmed bushes into your soul
Where nothing is white or black
But tinted with blues, reds, and the color of the heavens
Fuse me
Fuse me
With those electric currents in your mind
Far from the mixed up world
Away from finger points
Unwanted stares
And hidden snares set to hurt me
You protect me
Share my vision
Brace me as I reach for stars
And be my misting calm
In the middle of destruction
I see past fire
And witness the truth
Drained by useless banter
Comfort is far away
When you are away
I twisted one loc
Slowly
Around my middle finger
Encased
Shield my skin from the harsh winds
And when it was useless to me
It fe1l out
Out
Out of my realm of possibilities
But I keep God closer to me
Where He puts his hands over my ears
As hells fury spins ‘bout
It spins past heavens gates
Out of control
Dizzy
Giddy
Frivolous
Drones
Don’t condone
This enmity
Hostility
Trying to transform my ability
To stand
Resist
Endure
To abide in solace
As I find peace in drawing 360 circles around tongues
As you try to decipher the encryption on my thigh
And taste the lone tear from my eye
I am free…
